Before signing for Crawley, Mersin played for Turkish Premier League for Kasimpassa FC,
where he competed in the same league as giants such as Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
The giant stopper, who has represented Turkey at both under-17 and under-18 levels,
commanded a seven-figure transfer fee when he moved from Millwall to Liverpool as a
      youngster.
They have also announced Bobby-Joe Taylor (pictured)
has signed a two-year deal to stay at Crabble.
The 24-year-old midfielder made 27 appearances for
the Whites last season after making his debut in the
National League clash at Braintree Town last October.
Taylor initially joined on loan from Bromley before
signing a deal to stay with Dover until the end of
the season following his release from the Ravens in
      November.
The former Chelsea and Gillingham youngster joined
Bromley from Aldershot Town in May 2018.
Taylor has also represented England C twice and played 25 games for Aldershot after arriving
from Maidstone United in June 2017. He spent two years at the Gallagher Stadium after joining
from Cambridge United in July 2015 and made 42 appearances.
Hessenthaler has begun his re-building programme by releasing 11 players from his squad
from last season. The former Eastleigh manager guided the Whites to National League safety,
joining the club in October when they were second from bottom.
Players under contract for next season and have been retained are: Josh Passley, Kevin Lokko,
Inih Effiong, Alfie Pavey, Ricky Modeste, Scott Doe, Jai Reason and Lee Worgan. The club has
also taken up a contract option on Jamie Allen.
