      feet of an attacker to finally get the ball clear.
      The  clip  quickly  racked  up  the  viewing  figures  to  well  over  two  million.  It  shows  the
      power of social media. Hopefully it might even lead to some new fans turning up at their
      local  club  in  the future. It’s the sort  of commitment to defending  we can all  appreciate.
      Supporters Brave The Elements Every Year - By Hugo Varley
      So another festive season has flown by, once again serving up an absolute feast of Non-
      League football for us to gorge upon!
      As is annual tradition, football fans from up and down the country worked off their Christmas
      lunch  by marching  to Boxing                  Day games, while a week  later,
      supporters braved hangovers from               the previous night’s antics to back
      their teams on New Years’ Day.
      A   look  at  the  attendance                  statistics  during  these two days
      demonstrates  what an  important               time of year the Christmas period
      is for football fans and clubs alike.
      For example, on Boxing Day well                over 1,500  Scarborough  fans
      crammed into the Flamingo Land Stadium to watch their side’s top of the table clash with
      South Shields, while a sold out crowd toasted Dulwich Hamlet’s winning return to Champion
      Hill.
      Records were also smashed on New Year’s Day with Altrincham recording their highest league
      attendance since 1970 when Stockport came to visit Moss Lane and well over 2,000 Kettering
      fans danced around in absolute ecstasy as Rhys Hoenes nodded home a stoppage time winner
      to give the Poppies an injury time victory over AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
      The money gained from these increased gate revenues is absolutely vital for clubs across the
