Please, Let’s Have A Happy New Year
With the announcement at the end of the year that a vaccination has
been developed against the Covid virus I think that gave everyone some
hope as we were about to leave 2020 and enter the new year. So let’s
hope that we can now look forward to things gradually, and I say gradu-
ally, getting back to some sort of normality. As I write these notes, with
Kent still in Tier 3 and with murmurings that Tier 3 will continue into
2021, we must try to stay positive and wait for the vaccines to work their
magic so that we can see the virus slowly leave us.
With regards to sport and other leisure activities we must try to get
these back on track as soon as possible, not just for the logistics of win-
ning or losing but for peoples mental health. With all the pressures that
communities are under it is vitally important that they have an outlet
to take minds off the crisis that we are going through. Whether that is
stamp collecting, knitting or football we all need something to loosen
the pressure valve of life during Covid.
