Proposed Start Date For 2020/2021 National League Season Revealed
The proposed start date for the 2020/21 National League season has been revealed as clubs are sent a
statement from the Football Association.
It comes after the start dates for the Premier League and English Football League were recently an-
nounced for the 12th of September.
However for the non league, many were left in the dark, that is until now, and it is set to start later than
the professional leagues.
The following statement has been sent from the National League this evening of a proposed start date,
subject to government guidelines.
National League Season 2020/21
Further to a meeting of the National League Board last Friday, the Board has determined the following:
• The scheduled start date of the 2020/21 Season is Saturday, 3 October 2020.
• 46 league fixtures will be scheduled in the National Division, and either 42 or 40 league fixtures will be
scheduled in the North and South Divisions.
