Green Beret Assoc. - Royal Marines Association Deal
The Green Beret Association ( GBA ) was formed in Deal in 1976, not in competition to, or as an alternative,
but to stand shoulder to shoulder with the RMA. Most members in Deal, and around the country are members
of both associations.
It’s aim is ‘to foster and maintain the Commando spirit and fellowship in civilian life, and to bring together in
comradeship all former members of the Commando Brigade’.
The Association is open to all those who have completed the Royal Marines Commando course and have gained
the coveted ‘Green Beret’. The Standard is proudly paraded alongside the RMA Branch Standard at many func-
tions and funerals in the area and marches at the Graspan parade in London every year.
The association holds a Annual Dinner each year in Deal, and members travel from far and wide to attend.
Life membership is available, with a frameable certificate, and Blazer badges, tie’s and car stickers can be
purchased. Full details can be obtained from the secretary “Dusty” Miller on 01304374738 or by email at
