VAR - What Is Going On ?

I am sure every football supporter cannot be impressed with VAR, or to give it its official name Video
Assistant Referee, which has been in operation from the start of this season. This system is supposed to
assist the referee but as I see it, it appears to be hampering him. From the televised games I have seen
I can’t recall any official going over to the monitor on the touchline to view any contentious issues and
I wonder if this is because they have been told not to? The VAR teams seem to be making many more
mistakes than last seasons referees when they were not assisted by VAR and please tell me what on earth
does the fourth official do?
The FA should take note of how good the system works with top class Rugby Union where the viewer has a
clear indication of what is going on and the good old paying spectator, you know the people that spend their
hard earned money following their team, also knows immediately why the game has been stopped. The
FA need to act fast before they become an embarrassment and ruin our once fast flowing national game.
